There was a bunch of confusion about these wheels, so I got the skinny directly from the guys at Velocity.

These wood grain Deep-V’s were originally released in a limited run with wood grain decals and machined sidewalls. The decals were apparently low quality and didn’t stand up to regular abuse, so the wheel was discontinued.

They tried again with hand-painted wheels, but they were just too time consuming and expensive to produce, so they were discontinued again.

Around August 2008, wood grain deep-v’s were re-introduced, this time machine painted and sealed with a UV powder coat. This process does not allow for sidewall machining, so these may not be appropriate for rigs with brakes.

Hey man, I dunno if you’ve found a set… but there’s some Teak Wood Grain Deep Vs on ebay these days. Just bought one myself! Pumped.
